Apple delivered the software update it demonstrated for the Apple tv at Macworld Expo one month ago Tuesday afternoon. The software's release had been pushed back two weeks for unknown reasons.

T-Mobile recently announced that it has sold 70,000 iPhones in the first 11 weeks since the device went on sale in Germany in early November, as a number of factors appear to be affecting Apple's ability to ramp up sales of the iPhone overseas.

Apple earned a profit of $1.58 billion on revenue of $9.6 billion for its fiscal first-quarter ending December 29, the company announced Tuesday. During the holiday quarter, Apple sold 2.319 million Macs, 22.1 million iPods, and 2.315 million iPhones.
